Product Release: New Enhanced Metal-Seated Ball Valve Design July 22, 1999
Velan Inc., a world leader in valve technology and quality
introduces its new enhanced metal-seated ball valve design
for the chemical, oil, gas, petrochemical, and pulp and paper
industries. Design features include:
Full port and regular port.
Top and bottom stem guide bushings reduces the effects
of side thrust on stem packing and assures concentric stem
travel.
Bi-Directional tight shutoff to API 598, ASME / FCI
70-2 Class V and VI.
Separate gland and self-aligning gland flange helps
assure maximum stem sealing integrity.
Enhanced high temperature non-galling thrust washer
design.
Over sized high strength Double-D Ball to stem connection
that provides: less deformation of the stem slot in the ball;
better throttling control performance; and less motion and
wear in automatic on-off application.
Sealed live-loaded seat to assure tight shutoff at low
differential pressure. The seats prevent contamination and
jamming.
Inherently fire safe.
Seat locking feature that does not require special tools
or fixtures. Seat locking is easily done in the field.
