Velan Inc. and McJunkin Corporation, North America's leading
distributor of industrial pipe, valves and fittings announced
today that they have established a distribution arrangement
for cast carbon, stainless and alloy steel gate, globe and
check valves across the United States, with the exception
of the Gulf Coast. After careful review of each other's capabilities,
products and overall strength McJunkin and Velan forged a
partnership that will bring a unique value proposition to
the market for industrial valves.
"For many years Velan has considered McJunkin to be the
leading industrial PVF distributor in the United States, growing
and strengthening their market position, " said Ivan
Velan, Executive Vice President Sales North America, "We
are enthusiastic to be able to work with McJunkin and optimistic
about the opportunities this partnership brings to both companies."

Velan's strength of organization, breadth of product and quality
of manufacture made Velan a natural fit with McJunkin's vision
to be the premier supplier of Pipe, Valves and Fittings.
Velan will provide products to all McJunkin locations in the
United States except for those in the Gulf Coast area. In
that area, Velan will support McJunkin only in situations
that are "enforced" by the end users. Where an end
user chooses to use Velan, and selects McJunkin as the distributor,
Velan will support McJunkin.
