Velan is pleased to introduce our second generation knife
gate valve. Almost 20 years of experience in supplying one
of the most robust and dependable knife gate valves on the
market has enabled us to optimize the design into a more efficient,
feature rich package.
Thanks to an integrally crimped soft seat, the Cv on the resilent-seated
knife gate valves is significantly larger, inreasing flow
and potentially productivity. All 2-12" valves now come
standard with an easy to use full-open / full-closed locking
device—14-24" valves will soon follow suit. Standard
packing has been upgraded to a PTFE/Graphite synthetic yarn
for fluid compatibility for a pH of 0-14. The new knife gate
valves also feature a redesigned handwheel, which is easier
to grip and more comfortable to operate.
Most of the new features and improvements were introduced
because of feedback from our distributors and end users. We
will continue to strive to keep adding meaningful features
