Velan is looking for a candidate to fill a deburring position (evening) at its Montreal plant.In this role, you will report to the Manager, Value Stream.
Shift available for this role: EVENING.
Hourly rate : 27$ to 31$/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect various parts according to technical drawings provided.
- Handle to inspect heavy loads with lifting equipment.
- Complete deviation reports when necessary
- Have the responsibility of the inspection quarantine
- Use different measuring instruments to check parts.
- Test the chemical composition of the material received.
- Perform hardness testing and other non-destructive testing.
Requirements
Qualifications and skills- High school diploma or technical school.
- Minimum of 3 years of varied inspection experience
- Experience in CMM (coordinate measuring machine) an asset
- Bilingual.
- Knowledge and ability to use measuring equipment.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings, instructions, specifications and Q.A. procedures.
- Ability to write reports and maintain records.
- Comfortable with computers and their software.
