Job Description

Your role as an Industrial Engineer is to assist in developing manufacturing methods for new products, labour standards and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
 
Main responsibilities:
 
 
  • Evaluate optimal productivity and utilization of machining processing operations
  • Recommend methods for improving machine uptime, workers efficiency and utilization
  • Plan and establish sequence of operations to manufacture and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
  • Design fixtures and tooling with the aim of reducing set up time and maximizing machines up time
  • Develop production layout based on Synchronous and cellular manufacturing
  • Establish manufacturing process manuals and assembly procedure to insure the production of quality product.
  • Collect the data required for the financial justification of the capital equipment, assist in the justification process and insure that the pay back and return of investment are met after the implementation.
  • Simulate the machining and assembly of component utilizing the CATIA computer aided design to determine the validity of the machining and assembly process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of machining and assembly methods and processes.
  • Good knowledge of the CATIA computer aided design and manufacturing
  • Must have good knowledge of Lean six, sigma and JIT manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of ERP system
  • Good oral and written communication skills (English and French)
  • Able to perform high quality work within the constraints of cost and time
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills
  • Team player
