Job Description

As Human Resources Coordinator you play a key role in the Canadian HR team to offer world class practices and solutions that help the Company reach its strategic objectives. Your responsibilities include, without are not limited to, compensation administration, recruiting, HR policies, talent management and succession planning, work relations, performance management, legal compliance and the application of HR programs for your client group. In addition, you will support management and answer employees’ questions regarding HR laws, regulations, policies and programs.
 
Main responsibilities:
 
  • Act as an advisor to managers and employees of the client group
  • Review and ensure efficiency of HR practice such as recruitment and selection, training, direct and indirect compensation, attendance management, discipline and labour relations
  • Contribute to the general operations of the HR department
  • Communicate to internal stakeholders in Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.
  • Recruit and select talented people that fit with corporate values to fill vacant positions in the client group
  • Ensure effective exit interviews, analyze results and make recommendations
  • Oversee adequate orientation within the organization.
  • Assist managers of the client groups in assessing their employees’ performance, discuss results and makes recommendations about performance improvement
  • Administer compensation policies
  • Participate actively in talent management and succession planning activities
  • Prepare reports and generate information for the client group
  • Perform recruitment and selection duties for certain group of employees
  • Contribute in the development and provide recommendations for policies and processes
  • Participates in the design and implementation of projects of the HR department
  • Plan, organize and participates in various activities as needed
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Organisational Development.
  • Member of Ordre des CRHA is an important asset
  • Minimum 7 years of related work experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • A demonstrated understanding and knowledge of business operations and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to create consistent and positive results in multi-site organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, oral and written
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Intermediate level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
