Job Description

 
In the context of the ongoing development and deployment of the Valve Project Management transformation initiative, the Manager, Project Execution is responsible for a significant portfolio of project orders (from order to shipping) and for the management of sales administrative activities related to the overall project portfolio. He/she will lead a team of approximately 10 Project Leaders and Administrators.
 
Major responsibilities
  • Assign new projects to Project Leaders
  • Ensure that projects are managed with rigour and discipline (development of master plan, continuous up-to-date project visibility, issues/risk management, scope change management);
  • Being accountable for overall performance of the team
  • Support the team in the escalation process and manage/expedite the customers when required
  • Ensure that best and standardized practices are applied for sales administration activities (e.g. entering orders in the ERP system) for all projects
  • Support and contribute significantly to the development and deployment of the Valve Project Management (VPM) initiative, whose primary objective is to improve the project on-time delivery performance
  • Meet the on time delivery objective fixed by the management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Commerce or other relevant field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, including 3 in project management
  • Experience in managing a project management  team
  • Experience in Heavy Industry and/or high-volume production in a significant asset
  • PMP certification is an asset
  • Demonstrated influence and team leadership
  • Have a passion for  project management
  • Customer Focus
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Perfectly bilingual, both written and oral
