Business Analyst, Manufacturing Operations

The Business analyst, manufacturing operations is an expert in planning and manufacturing systems and is responsible to support, document and train in the execution of a wide range of operations related projects. This is a corporate position involving both head office and plant level activities. Some travel is required (between operating locations).More precisely, he/she will be responsible to:
- Coordinate project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate system designs and validate proposed solutions
- Develop, Deploy operation procedures
- Providing guidance, training and oversight to members of the production and material planning team including the proper setup and use of material planning parameters, as well as the correct use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) at each operating location
- Provide training and guidance for the setup of product costing with the correct use of Velan ERP system
- Collaborates with business partners to research, design, document, and modify solution specifications throughout the production life cycle.
- Support project management effort. Develop project plans, test plans and test scripts.
- Periodically Audit Manufacturing Parameters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in Project and Change management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of planning principles and ERP/MRP system
- Problem solving skills
- Knowledge of French and English (written and spoken)
