In concert with the industrial engineers, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the improvement projects either in welding or machining and standardization projects in industrial engineering. He/she will be responsible for the execution of all activities related to the projects, build and manage timelines, assist with prioritization, will provide alignment and planning for project commissioning and monitor associated budgets. In addition, he/she will have to monitor the planned results achieved and maintain a balance sheet per plant. The candidate must demonstrate a high ability to work in a team, be organized and have an interest in project management
Specifically, he/she will be responsible to:
• Plan all the improvement projects of the method team, ensure the follow-up and respect of the schedules, the costs and the commissioning with the persons in charge of the production;
• Mobilize the method team and plant production managers to advance improvement projects;
• Establish and update the timelines for all activities related to identified and future projects;
• Maintain an excellent relationship with the factories and the method team
• Visit factories and facilitate all planning meetings;
• Track project performance and coordinate corrections as needed
• Support the direction of its function and maintain performance measures
• Target, analyze and evaluate the feasibility and profitability of improvement projects.
• Determines important control parameters, performance measures, and defined practices and tools to ensure process control.

Requirements
• University degree, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience in a manufacturing company manufacturing CNC or welding robots.
• Member of the Ordre ingénieurs du Québec;
• 10 years’ experience in the field of industrial engineering in a machining company (experience with welding robots and CNC machines);
• Mastering the Windows environment and Office suite software;
• Strong ability to listen and communicate with team members at all levels;
