Reporting to the Manager, Project Management of the specific SBU, the Project Leader will be responsible for the planning and execution of a specific portfolio of project orders. He/she will use a set of standardized project management processes and tools to ensure on-time delivery of the orders, mainly a structured project plan and issues/risk management system.Responsibilities
- Lead the planning of valve projects (Level 1 & 2 milestones).
- Ensure the integrated project plan is well aligned and sound; assess overall project health status; address project plan disconnects.
- Initiate corrective actions when issues/ricks are raised; escalate when required.
- Enter orders into the ERP system.
- Communicate all corrections and changes made to the order.
- Manage the customer regarding requirements clarity, deliverables & inspections attendance.
- Make financial decisions based on established Delegation of Authority.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Administration or the equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years in project management.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in French and in English.
- Strong knowledge of ERP system, MS Office and of project management tools/concepts.
- PMP certification (an asset).
- Ability to work under pressure and assess corporate climate, social-economic factors, trends and other criteria to determine chances of project success.
- Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities in deadlines.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate departments, keys manager and other stakeholders.
- Passion for project management.
