Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Advisor, health and safety, group insurance and well-being at work will be responsible for ensuring sound management of work absences records, both financial and human. You will be supported by the health, safety and environment team for the management of files related mainly to workplace accidents and occupational diseases. You will have to manage the wellness files within the workplace and work with the organizational development team and the HR business partners.
 
Responsibilities:
• Working with the OD, HR, Health, Safety and Environment and other managers around the organization, you will integrate a workplace wellness approach and a plan to develop an organizational culture that promotes the wellness, health and safety environment alongside health employee wellness practices.
• Manage cases of workplace accidents, occupational diseases and disabilities for unionized and non-unionized employees in Quebec in order to promote a safe and healthy return to work and limit the financial impact on the organization.
• Maintain liaison with CNESST regarding complaint files and manage the administrative files of the CNESST
• Be responsible for OHS repair, temporary assignment management, return to work management, rehabilitation management, etc.
• Coordinate the human aspect of disability insurance programs for unionized and non-unionized employees in Quebec
• Establish and maintain a relationship of trust with employees during interviews and coach managers in their interventions with employees affected by a difficult health, safety and well-being situation
• In collaboration with all stakeholders including the employee manager, the preventionist and the HR Business partners, minimize the costs associated with the management of work absences files through rapid and proactive interventions
• Interpretation of laws and regulations (LATMP, LSST, etc.)
• In collaboration with HSE, submit accident reports and collaborate on the implementation and maintenance of statistical data
• Identify and write requests for revisions, challenges and cost sharing
• Collaborate with third parties on file (lawyer, ergonomist, medical specialist) and represent the employer before the various governmental authorities
• Make cost projections on your records
• Maintain good communication with your internal and external business partners

Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or any other relevant field
•Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the management of CNESST files and disabilities
•Have a good knowledge of employment-related legislation such as the Quebec OHSCompensation System and the Canadian Labor Code
•Have a good knowledge of Office Suite software
•Bilingualism (French and English) both oral and written.
