Strategic Procurement Specialist

Reporting to the Director, Procurement, the Strategic Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the sourcing strategy for a group of products for all facilities of the company. He will also develop procurement strategies, be responsible for commercial and contractual negotiations and will have the overall responsibility for supplier relationships.

- Develops commodity strategies
- Prepares Requests for proposals (RFQ) for suppliers
- Evaluates and makes supplier selection
- Conducts commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Prepares and negotiates contractual agreements
- Is responsible for key performance indicators for the suppliers and supplier corrective action plans
- Is responsible for cost reduction programs
- Acts as a liaison for all supplier issues and actions with other internal functions
- Is responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships
Requirements
- Bachelors in Business Administration or equivalent
- Experience of five (5) years in a similar role in a multi-site manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of Procurement best practices
- Experience in contractual and commercial negotiation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
- Available to travel occasionally, locally and internationally
