- Ensure compliance with safe work procedures and apply corrective measures when required.
- Review quality issues and participate in the implementation of corrective actions.
- Organize and distribute work according to planning and operational priorities and monitor progress.
- Communicate expectations and mobilize employees to achieve objectives.
- Analyze performance indicators such as OEE and delays on the production schedule and address the situation by applying the necessary corrective actions.
- Maintain a positive work climate by motivating, stimulating, and encouraging the employees under his responsibility to develop their skills and to take initiatives within their role.
- Ensure that employees are properly trained and evaluate their performance on an ongoing basis.
- Contribute to the implementation of any measure that could have positive effects on operations, whether to increase outputs and productivity, reduce wasted time and costs, etc.
- Make the necessary improvements to ensure profitability and efficiency of the team.
- Support the Value Stream Manager in his workflow optimization mandate.
- Facilitate production meetings.
Requirements
Education- DEC in mechanical engineering or the equivalent.
Experience
- 5 to 10 years in the management of unionized staff in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Fluency in French (written and oral).
- Good knowledge of English (written and oral).
- Very good knowledge of the cellular manufacturing environment.
- Very good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Infor LN software.
