Reporting to the Planning Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing production work by ensuring the availability of materials and resources.Key Responsibilities
- Verify that the parts list is compliant with the engineering drawings and customer requirements;
- Validate the purchase of parts required for production;
- Prepare production orders in accordance with customer requirements and quality assurance;
- Check and ensure the availability of materials throughout the process;
- Guarantee the feasibility of production by ensuring that the parts list respects the needs and by collaborating with the purchasing department for the follow-up of material delivery;
- Be a resource for production for issues related to materials or parts list and know how to solicit the right departments when needed;
- Find solutions to resolve possible short-term production problems (e.g. replacement material for a missing part);
- Collaborate with the scheduling coordinator to integrate the problems encountered by production into the planning stage.
Requirements
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years experience in production planning and inventory control in the manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite, notably Excel;
- Very good skills and proven experience in the operation of ERP system(s);
- Excellent communication skills (French and English, spoken and written);
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Continuous improvement and development mindset;
- Advanced analytical skills.
