The Value Stream Manager is responsible for managing a "Product Operational Matrix" to ensure efficient and cost-effective valve delivery. More specifically, he or she will be responsible for ensuring growth in the value/non-value ratio of operations, eliminating waste in all operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Within a matrix organizational structure, coordinate activities between the following operational functions: Quality, Planning, Methods and Production to optimize valve delivery.
  • Ensure production flow in a manufacturing cell environment requiring optimization of capacity utilization as well as TAKT Time, production scheduling and manpower.
  • Oversee the overall material and information flow for the product/product family to align priorities and day-to-day task execution.
  • Coordinate subcontractors with procurement to optimize delivery times and capacity management.
  • Monitor quality problems and ensure that root cause corrective measures are taken and implemented effectively to avoid repetition.
  • Drive improvement in the value stream, eliminate waste and reduce lead times and costs for products/product families.
  • Promote the use of KPIs to monitor departmental, process and plant performance to improve business (e.g. OTD, cost, quality, etc.).
  • Establish delivery OPS forecasts (monthly, quarterly) and report progress to the Project Velan team.
  • Manage 20M$ to 40M$ of sale delivery.

Requirements

Education
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
 
 
 
 
Experience
 
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant and growing experience in similar operations management positions.
  • 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment.
 
Skills
 
  • Demonstrated strong planning, organizing and time management skills.
  • Effective in coordinating and efficiently managing a variety of assignments simultaneously and in identifying and resolving inner-group and interpersonal conflicts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to conduct effective meetings and communicate clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization.
