Velan is looking for a candidate to fill a stock helper position (night) at its Montreal plant.In this role, you will report to the Production Foreman.
Shifts available for this role: NIGHT.
Hourly rate : 24,60$ to 26,90$/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Receive
- all materials and by-products; transport materials manually or by means of lifting and transport equipment to the warehouse or to the various work stations
- Unload incoming materials and load outgoing materials
- Check all incoming goods, verify quantities according to documents and purchase orders and record the movement of goods
- Inspect incoming goods for apparent damage in transit
- Store goods appropriately and mark products according to established procedures
- Remove materials and goods upon requisition and other written documentation
- Report damaged or defective materials and goods
- Maintain a standard of safety, order and cleanliness at work stations and perform other simple and related tasks as directed
- Use safety equipment required for the job and provided by the company
- Observe the company's general regulations and safety rules

Requirements
- High school diploma
- Must hold a forklift license
- Familiarity with all types of merchandise
- Familiarity with all types of materials
- Ability to lift a heavy load (25 to 50 pounds)
