You will be responsible for
- Carry out qualification tests of the welding and hard facing procedures according to the applicable codes and standards, including the drafting of test plans, the witnessing of tests and the follow-up with the external and internal laboratories.
- Provide technical support to the various departments of the company.
- Work in collaboration with the Welding Engineers and welding supervisors, in all tasks related to the development and optimization of welding methods and procedures.
- Support the automation group in the testing, fine tuning and programming tasks in the mechanized and robotic welding.
- Perform light maintenance on the center's welding equipment.
- Use of welding machines: GTAW, SMAW, GMAW / FCAW and machined PTAW, SAW and welding robotic cells.
- Support Metallurgical Engineer in all metallurgical and mechanical testing tasks.
- Maintain the inventory of materials (base and filler metal) .and welding equipment used in the welding lab.
- Perform demonstrate during the practical training.
- Ensure order and correct operation of welding center of excellence equipment

Requirements
If you have:- College Studies Diploma in welding preferred or diploma of professional study welding with relevant experience
- Experience in 2 years welding mechanics
- Analytical spirit, curious and open to new technologies
- Bilingualism
- Reading plans
- Microsoft office suite
- Good knowledge of basic principles of the welding processes
- General knowledge of welding codes and standards
- Robotic welding knowledge would be an asset
