Marketing Content Specialist

In this role, you will own the marketing content strategies and lead all content initiatives while ensuring branding consistency. Reporting to Velan’s Marketing Manager, you will ensure our content is strategic, appealing and informative. The right candidate for this role is someone who can transform highly technical content into appealing information showcasing specific value propositions through different medias.Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement a content strategy to support and extend our marketing initiatives;
Translate strategies across various rich media assets including our website, whitepapers, video testimonials, presentations and promotional materials;
Work closely with sales, marketing and engineering teams to align content strategy with business objectives, while identifying goals and integrating those to the content development process;
Implement best practices and processes for content management and creation;
Work in collaboration with our design team on content projects.
Requirements
EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related program
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience working in a B2B, manufacturing and/or engineering environment is an asset
KNOWLEDGE:
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with Adobe Suite
Experience with Marketing automation tools such as Pardot
Experience with social media tools
Familiar with website platforms such as WordPress
Familiarity with CMS and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics)
Familiarity with SEO and keyword research best practices
SKILLS:
Customer Service oriented and outstanding business communications skills;
Proven editorial skills and excellent English writing skills, French is an asset;
Strong project management skills;
Attention to detail, excellent organization skills and a focus on results.
