To prepare quotations for Velan’s line of Multi-Turn and Quarter-Turn valves and ensure timely, high quality and competitive response to customer requirements.Responsibilities and Duties:
- Become familiar with the Velan’s complete line of Multi-Turn and Quarter-Turn valve offerings.
- Review, evaluate and clarify customer inquiries and technical specifications.
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers to determinate/clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies prior to quoting.
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain the information needed to provide comprehensive quotations.
- Identify technical factors in customer inquiries that may affect cost, delivery and ability to conform. Review incoming orders for conformance to the quotation and resolve any differences to ensure smooth order entry.
- Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with all customers (both interal and external).
- Able to meet deadlines and work on numerous inquiries at the same time.
Requirements
- College Studies Diploma or Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in reviewing engineering specifications
- Experience in inside sales or customer service in industrial products
- Experience with selection of mechanical equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, compressors, pipes and fittings, etc.
- Strong computer skills (Work, Excel)
- Fluency in French and English (oral and written)
- Fluency in other language is an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients within and outside the company
- Ability to respond well to changing priorities and deadlines
- Familiarity with valves, piping and instrumentation would be an asset
