Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the smooth functioning of daily operations of the Velan distribution center.

More precisely, he/she will be responsible to:

• Maintain and promote a harmonious work environment.
• Oversee staff members.
• Be responsible for the day to day operations of the shipping and receiving dept.
• Assign daily work to all employees.
• Audit orders and inspects valves for cleanliness.
• Notify customers when orders are ready.
• Creates bills of lading and commercial invoices.
• Scheduling shipments with carriers.
• Assist with pulling orders, loading or unloading trucks.
• Assist with the receiving process.
• Ensures all bill of ladings are turned in daily so they can be invoiced.
• Inform the manager on shipping supplies status.
• Assist employees with any issues that arise.
• Assist in leading teams during inventory process.
• Be responsible for securing all doors at closing

Requirements

Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.

Time management skills and the ability to delegate.

Leadership and organizational skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
